From the ferry terminal follow signs 'all directions', turn left out of the port and join dual carriageway.

Go straight on over 2 roundabouts and at the 3rd take the first exit for Procchio and Marciana Marina.

Once in Procchio turn left for Marina di Campo.

On arriving in La Pila take the left turn signposted for Marina di Campo.

At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit and after going over a small bridge turn right.

The site is 100m on the left.

This 17th Century villa is where Napoleon and his court resided. It houses period furniture, memorabilia and a collection of paintings. The Emperor's library was transferred from Fontainebleau to Portoferraio
